The RRGS is a national organization and is the only organization in the world completely dedicated to compiling and preserving the genealogical heritage of our historic railroads. Sustaining Member
Sustaining members are the backbone of the RRGS. They receive a life-time subscription to the monthly email newsletter (including monthly updates of new additions to the Archives) and free searches of the RRGS Archives. In addition, when the RRGS Research Center is completed, these members will be able to have bricks memorializing two of their railroading ancestors set in our Memory Wall.

Regular Member

Associate members receive an annual subscription to the monthly email newsletter (including monthly updates of new additions to the Archives), and the right to request searches of the Archives for only $5.00 per search.

In addition to the benefits unique to each membership level, every member of the RRGS becomes part of an organized, safe, national network of railroad genealogists. This provides an excellent opportunity to meet and socialize with other people who have similar interests in their railroading heritage. Members can share and compare information with the goal of finding and understanding their railroading ancestors.
Members also have opportunities to contribute time and energy to local projects or national efforts aimed at compiling and preserving the genealogical history of the railroads which helped build our great nation.
